City of Plattsburgh Climate Task Force
City of Plattsburgh Climate Task Force works to help the City achieve New York State Climate Smart Communities (CSC) and NYS Clean Energy Communities (CEC) goals. These state programs assist municipalities’ efforts to adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change.
Community Repair Cafes
The Task Force is in the strategic phase of planning community repair events. These events will be free to the public and promote repair as an alternative to throwing out broken or damaged tools, toys, clothing, and more.
Repairs will be performed by Repair Experts. These are professionals, retirees, or hobbyists who are willing to volunteer their time to fix broken household items, extending their lifespan and reducing waste that goes into the landfill. Repair Experts who participate in events will be included on a list of recommended vendors on our site.
If you're interested in being a Repair Expert, have event suggestions, or would like to help in other ways, please fill out the form below!
