ABOUT US

Re-established in 2021, the City of Plattsburgh Climate Task Force works to assist the City of Plattsburgh achieve the goals set by New York State's Climate Smart Community (CSC) and Clean Energy Community (CEC) programs. These state initiatives support municipalities in their efforts to adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change. The City Climate Task Force is building on the efforts initiated in 2019 to reduce carbon emissions in city operations and to adopt environmentally sustainable practices.

In 2023, the City of Plattsburgh became a certified CEC and CSC Bronze Community!
